President Brigadier Guy J Boxall MBE FInstRE

The Friends of Dover Castle is a Charity run by a Board of Trustees which form the Committee - please see our Constitution.

The Friends is led by the Chairman. Any contact or communication with the Friends should be made via the Chairman unless it is a membership issue when you should contact the membership secretary directly. The position of President is an honorary one and we are fortunate that Brigadier Guy Boxall has agreed to be our President.

Brigadier Boxall assumed command of the Royal School of Military Engineering Group in February 2022. He has spent the majority of his career in close support, deploying operationally to Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan which involved both combat and construction engineering. He commanded 35 Engineer Regiment and on the staff has completed plans appointments at Divisional and Army level. More recently he has worked in the Ministry of Defence leading strategic capability and financial planning for infrastructure and then serving as Chief of Staff for the Chief of Defence Logistics and Support.
