Kitchen Garden Open Days 2026

We are delighted to announce our first Kitchen Garden open day of the year, taking place on Easter Monday 6th April, from 10am till 4pm.
Mark your calendars for our additional Kitchen Garden open days:

Sunday 26th April
Saturday 23rd May – This KG event has been CANCELLED
Saturday 6th June – ‘Dig For Victory’ & WW2 Weekend publicity day with full access to the Kitchen Garden.
Saturday 20th June & Sunday 21st June – WW2 Weekend. The Friends will have a full on display of WW2 equipment and uniforms located opposite the entrance to the Kitchen Garden. Inside the garden we will have a Women’s Land Army display and a ‘Dig For Victory’ theme. Listen out for the ‘air raid siren’ !
Saturday 25th July – General garden open day with produce and plants available.
Please note that we may announce additional dates, so be sure to monitor our social media and website for updates.

During our open days, we may offer selected produce and plants for a suggested donation. You can also learn about membership and volunteering opportunities and make donations via card.

Admission to the Kitchen Garden is free, although an English Heritage Dover Castle ticket is required unless you have membership. We look forward to meeting you !

 

 

Members Tours / Events 2026

We are currently planning our 2026 member tours and we have the following confirmed dates/tours:

  • Officers New Barracks/Behind closed doors – Sunday 28th June 2026 at 2pm
  • Princess Of Wales Royal Regiment museum tour – Sunday 2nd August 10am till 11am
  • Stone Hut Curators – Thursday 20th August 2026 at 11am
  • Dumpy – Sunday 11th October 2026 at 2pm

    Hudson East Demi Bastion – cancelled due to vandalism.

 

It is with regret that we announce the cancellation of our 40th anniversary Hog Roast, previously scheduled for Saturday, 1 August. Despite our best efforts, unforeseen circumstances and lower-than-anticipated ticket sales have rendered the event unviable. Our Trustees have taken a prudent and courageous decision to protect our charity’s funds and we hope to be in a position to announce an alternative 40th anniversary event in due course. We offer our sincere apologise to those who had already booked and we will process refunds via Eventbrite as soon as possible.
